The restaurant upfit construction project for Carlos Cafe in Rock Hill is moving along quickly with a soft opening target date of the second week of June!
“This particular restaurant upfit construction project for Carlos Cafe has been a really fun project,” said David Buist of Ferrara|Buist. “We have had several opportunities with this project to design and build some custom woodwork features like the main restaurant bar as seen in the photograph on this post.”
The custom bar features custom woodwork, a unique stain, a resin top and a really interesting inlay with authentic Cuban currency and cigar wrappers!
“The ownership at Carlos Cafe wanted the restaurant upfit to be highly functional but also include some interesting creative features that would be totally unique to their authentic Cuban cuisine and ambiance,” added Buist.
Some of the remaining upfit items include final painting and wall finishes, staining, and completing the restrooms. All of the restaurant equipment is being delivered around May 24 with the soft opening scheduled for the second week of June!
