- Larger, more open office work spaces. A more flexible office leasing environment is allowing companies to lease larger amounts of space at lower leasing rates. We are seeing more open spaces where teams can collaborate and work in a more creative environment.
- More architectural design elements. Companies are incorporating new paint colors, creative wall
coverings and floor coverings, environmental materials, and 4 to 6-feet walls (instead of enclosing every office). - More focus on energy conservation. Our commercial construction clients are incorporating light fixtures and light bulbs that require less energy. More open areas require less heating and cooling effort. We even have office spaces installing ceiling fans to circulate air more efficiently.
- Faster construction time periods. The Charlotte commercial construction marketplace is seeing a more competitive nature and that spurs tighter pricing and faster, turnkey construction times. In addition, the equipment and technology that we use in commercial construction allows us to accelerate our timelines to deliver turnkey space faster.
- Contemporary, high-end fixtures. Companies enjoy new designs and technology advances in items like disappearing wall light switches and invisible ceiling audio speakers for conference rooms.
