Ferrara|Buist commercial design + build contractors has just been hired by the Upper Palmetto YMCA to renovate their Camp Cherokee Mess Hall at Camp Cherokee in Kings Mountain, SC.
“The building was built in 1927 and will need some serious renovations,” said David Buist, managing partner with Ferrara|Buist. “We are adding on a modern-day commercial kitchen and reconfiguring the existing space to better fit their needs.”
Established in 1946, Camp Cherokee is for boys and girls ages 6 to 14 and is located in beautiful Kings Mountain State Park. Heading into their 65th summer, Camp Cherokee’s goal continues to be helping everyone reach their potential by building self-esteem, friendships and character in a safe environment.
