Road Map for Design + Build Commercial Construction Projects
- Create a business plan.
- Decide what you can spend on your new construction project.
- Work with Ferrara|Buist to develop a preliminary space plan showing your proposed lay-out.
- Ferrara|Buist will provide a preliminary Design Build proposal for you.
- Sign a Letter of Intent authorizing Ferrara|Buist to proceed with the Construction Documents (plans and specifications) and submit payment for design deposit.
- Select finishes, such as paint colors, flooring, ceiling options, window and door options, cabinetry options, etc.
- Review Construction Documents and final construction budget. Revise as necessary.
- Sign Standard AIA contract for construction, and submit payment for construction deposit.
- Ferrara|Buist will submit schedule updates to keep you informed on the progress of your project.
