Ferrara|Buist commercial general contractors has just begun a restaurant relocation construction project for Carlos Cafe Authentic Cuban Cuisine in Rock Hill.  Carlos Cafe will be relocating their Rock Hill restaurant to Tega Cay in early summer 2012.

“Carlos Cafe is wildly popular in Rock Hill and they have a very unique interior space in their existing restaurant location,” said David Buist of Ferrara|Buist.  “Our goal with designing and building their new restaurant location in Tega Cay is to give them a new restaurant space that features the best aspects of their existing space with some new elements to surprise their customers!”

2. Decide what you can spend on your new construction project.
3. Work with Ferrara|Buist to develop a preliminary space plan showing your proposed lay-out.
4. Ferrara|Buist will provide a preliminary Design Build proposal for you.
5. Sign a Letter of Intent authorizing Ferrara|Buist to proceed with the Construction Documents (plans and specifications) and submit payment for design deposit.
6. Select finishes, such as paint colors, flooring, ceiling options, window and door options, cabinetry options, etc.
7. Review Construction Documents and final construction budget. Revise as necessary.
8. Sign Standard AIA contract for construction, and submit payment for construction deposit.
9. Ferrara|Buist will submit schedule updates to keep you informed on the progress of your project.
10. Seamless turn-over of your project.

Charlotte Business Office Remodel Contractor Builds Offices with Custom Features & Colors

Ferrara|Buist commercial general contractors just completed another business office redesign, construction and upfit project for a professional services company.

“The Ephricon professional offices project is a great example of how our company collaborates with the business owner, develops a workable budget, and provides a turnkey build-out and upfit,” said David Buist, managing partner with Ferrara|Buist.  “The client wanted a colorful interior with positive, fun paint colors, custom-crafted woodwork for the office kitchen cabinetry, and unique flooring options.”

Business office construction, remodeling and upfits are happening more frequently in 2012 because businesses are remaining in their current locations for second and third lease times.  “And we’re finding out that landlords and property owners are more likely to fund office remodeling and upfit projects with tenants who renew and extend their business office leases,” added Buist.
